Beautiful antique Wedgewood tile from the “game” series.
This tile dates from around the 1800’s and would have been made at the the wedgewood factory in Staffordshire.
Very collectable, and quite rare especially in the more desirable blue & white colour ( they were also made in brown & white)
Beautiful Partridge design – please see photos for condition as it has a chip to the bottom left corner and a few nibbles around the edges ( hence price) but still a lovely item.
The back is stamped “Josiah Wedgwood & sons, Etruria” (Etruria was the name of the wedgewood factory where it was made )
Measures approx. 6 inches square and 0.5cm deep
Looks lovely propped against a wall or on a mini easel as a decorative item but I’ve also seen these incorporated into a small tiled area above a sink and they look fab!
Price includes p&p (mainland uk only)
